MISSION STATEMENT
Voiceless Shouts, Unruly Arts & Embodied Resistance exists to advance rigorous, accessible, and culturally accountable scholarship on embodied knowledge, artistic practice, and aesthetic resistance. The journal creates an intellectual home for work that centers Africana, diasporic, Indigenous, and Global Majority perspectives and recognizes the body, the arts, and creative practice as vital sites of theory, history, memory, and political imagination.
The mission of the journal is to challenge erasure, misrecognition, and disciplinary containment by publishing scholarship and creative inquiry that foregrounds knowledge systems too often marginalized by dominant academic, cultural, and institutional traditions. Through interdisciplinary and decolonial approaches, Voiceless Shouts supports work that documents, analyzes, and advances embodied and artistic practices as powerful forms of resistance, world-making, and scholarly intervention.
